Pathfinder's Dietrich Kappe and Brian Dillard to Speak at The Ajax Experience

Dietrich’s presentation Saving Your Investment: Transforming J2EE Applications into Web 2.0 using GWT discusses the pressures of keeping pace with Web 2.0 entrants into the marketplace. His presentation will cover how to stay competitive, control costs and reduce maintenance using the Google Web Toolkit (GWT).
Brian’s presentation Making Friends with the Browser: Ajax, Back Buttons and Bookmarks will focus on enabling bookmarks and the back button in Ajax applications. Much of his presentation will be based on his experience as the project lead on Really Simple History, a popular open-source Ajax history and bookmarking library.
Taras Novak Named Vice President of Development at Pathfinder
Pathfinder builds out innovative web 2.0 capabilities
Chicago, IL (August 21, 2007) Pathfinder named Taras Novak, Vice President of Development. CEO Bernhard Kappe says “We’re very excited to have Taras on board. We believe he will be a tremendous asset in our quest to be the market leader in delivering innovative web 2.0 applications.”
Taras will contribute to building out Pathfinder’s agile software product development practice and lead research and development efforts on information visualization using emerging web 2.0 technologies, public APIs, and RIA platforms such as Adobe AIR and Microsoft Silverlight.

Taras brings eight years of experience in Agile Methods with Extreme Programming and Scrum project management techniques applied in development of corporate and consumer facing J2EE and .Net solutions. The new Vice President of Development comes to Pathfinder from Knotice Ltd., where he was Vice President of Platform Architecture. There, he directed technical design and development of the Concenti platform, an enterprise solution for managing multi-stage marketing campaigns across email, mobile and web channels. Previously, he designed a highly customizable web application portal framework for Niku Corporation, featuring a service-oriented architecture supporting deployments within Global 2000 organizations. Taras graduated with honors from the University of Illinois where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Engineering.
